About

Our Journey

Our journey began with a single cup. We visited Kenya, tasted tea at the source, and understood at once that nothing on an American shelf came close. Strong, bright, alive, tea that needed no dressing up.

That tea was Ketepa: over fifty blends drawn from the country's highland gardens, made with a care you can taste. We brought it home sealed and unopened, so the cup you pour here is the cup we were handed there.

Sustainability

Good tea starts with the people who pick it. Kenya's tea industry runs largely on smallholder farmers , families working a few acres each in the highlands and Ketepa buys through that system rather than around it. Every pack we sell carries their work.

Our part is smaller but no less real: buying direct, packing lean, and being straight with you about where the tea comes from. No vague claims, no borrowed badges. Just tea we can trace back to the garden it grew in.

David A. BranchOwner & Founder of Best Kenya Tea

I went to Kenya expecting a good cup. What I found was better than anything I had been drinking at home, and it had been sitting there all along, ordinary to everyone around me. Bringing it here was never complicated. Find the best tea in the country, work with the people who make it, ship it sealed, and let the cup speak for itself.
